Finding Hot Bingo Deals Requires the Best Source

September 10th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Reviews

In the United Kingdom today there is no bigger game than bingo, especially for those who prefer to play over the web. The thing is, if one is wanting to look beyond their current site and find new places to play, it can get tricky trying to wade through all of the ads, each one of them claiming to have the best bingo sites on the whole planet. True fans understand that hype is a big part of this game because, after all, it really is a thrill to play and the mood has got to be right to entice new players, but at the same time those fans want to be able to know that they are getting a decent value so they need quality information to help them make an informed decision about where they want to play bingo on the web. This led to the need for a quality web site that would be able to review the various bingo parlours and casinos that offer bingo on the web so that those who love this game would be able to get a serious look at the offerings that went beyond the obviously slanted view of those advertising such sites.

This is where there needed to be serious objectivity. If fans are to trust a site, they need to know that it will go into depth to tell them about what the various places to play bingo actually offer and what sets them apart from one another other than the designs of said sites. That is what onlinebingolounge.co.uk has set out to do and it has done a remarkably impressive job at it, as well. This site not only offers a comprehensive review of a huge number of gaming sites online, it lets fans know what they can expect in much deeper detail than any other review site on the web right now. That is why it has become a top choice for newcomers and hardcore bingo fans alike. Since it shows the best bonuses at each site, it can be a great way for new players to find a good choice to try out, but it also helps those who want to be able to expand their bingo playing experience and save money signing up so they can win more, as well.

Italy Legalizes Online Bingo

July 12th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in News

In a move that has built significant momentum for the online bingo industry’s apparent spread around the globe as of late, Italy becomes yet another nation to legalize online bingo sites within its borders after a recent decision from a regional court. The court acted to suspend certain laws that had previously made the sites not allowable and therefore Italian citizens were not permitted to take part in what has certainly become a massively popular online past time. The Lazio region, where the sites met resistance, has changed its stance thanks to the Administrative Court of Appeal that suspended the decree put forth by the Administrative Court of Lazio which had halted bingo web sites operating with the aim of inviting Italian players to participate. The decision means that online bingo operators will be able to resume their offerings after a brief halt that took place towards the end of December 2009.

Massively popular bingo web site company Playtech will definitely be able to unfold more of their plans to enter the Italian market full steam after their purchase of Virtue Fusion in the early months of 2010. Leveraging their recent acquisition of Cashcade last year, the company will be in a solid position to make a grand entry. Another expected entrant to the Italian bingo site gold rush will be Virgin Games which has a strong brand presence in the nation of Italy already. These two countries are seen by industry analysts to be the first in what is quite likely to be a strong wave of bingo sites that should be entering the market in the coming year if the examples given in other countries serve as any basic blue print of bingo market establishment across Europe.

Bingo Site Giving Mother’s Day Bonuses

One of the more important aspects of the online bingo industry in today’s web market is the offering of bonuses designed to encourage users to sign up for a given site. Often, these bonuses are given because they will bring in new users to help the stakes grow higher in terms of what the site is able to offer for prizes. The more visitors a site has, the larger the pot offerings end up being and this has been a main motivator for users to sign up, it has also been a large push to sides that are attempting to rise up the online bingo index in terms of their prominence on the web. Greater profits from a larger user base have fueled offline advertising campaigns that have done a large amount of good at bringing in new clientele to the bingo industry in general. Holidays are an especially potent chance for bingo sites to bring in new customers and reignite the love of old fans to come in and play a few rounds.

All of these factors have meant that the promotions for online bingo web sites have needed to become more and more innovative over time, a fact that has not been lost on the team behind Paddy Power Bingo which has begun offering a £100 bonus each day through the Mother’s Day season to players who send in their idea of what a special treat for one’s mother could be to celebrate the holiday. Industry experts believe the promotion will lead to something of a sea change in the approaches used by other bingo sites, given time.

There are few games on the web that have managed to achieve as high of a level of popularity as bingo has and many believe this is because it is such an easy to learn game that has a great deal to offer to all players who participate around the world. It is in the United States that it started up as an online game because the audience on the web was quite large there early on, but then it took hold in the United Kingdom and today this is where the game is definitely the most popular and it has surprised many experts in the economy that in the UK alone, the games gross well over a billion pounds per year and this figure continues to grow. There are not too many other forms of online wagering which can get anywhere near this level of drawing power and so that is why these companies have gotten very savvy about the way that they advertise. This means that not only do the big land based casinos and parlors of the world have their own sites, but there are a number of other large scale mega companies that offer their own games of bingo and these include AOL, Virgin and a huge number of others. These are not the only companies that offer games of bingo, though, because there are also the smaller special interest sites that cater to a certain style or audience of their own choosing. This has been made possible by companies that design software packages just for the companies that are smaller so that they can get their brands established. These are called white label gaming systems and they let little companies take part in big bingo networks and give their players a lot of choices in terms of how they play the game on the web.

This, in addition to the fact that there are e wallet systems to help consumers be able to put the money into their bingo site accounts, has helped make this a very easy game to get into. Today there are millions and millions of players and more just keep coming thanks to the free cash bonuses for bingo sites that let the players get started with some free money so they can wager without ever taking a loss at all. This has grown the industry and today there are a very loyal core of bingo players on the net that are girls between the ages of 20 and 25 who really enjoy the game not only because they are able to win prizes of money, but also because it is a very social type of game that offers a lot of chatting. It is a 24 hour a day world out there these days and with bingo the way it is, players can strike up a game whenever they would like to. This means that as a leisure past time, bingo is one of the biggest on the web any where in the world today.

January 14th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in News

After becoming the kind of sensation and media darling that managed to earn it the top spot as the United Kingdom’s highest rated TV show in 2009, Britain’s Got Talent is branching out to assert even more of its wildly popular name brand power into the online gaming industry by working with Mecca Bingo in order to produce a partnership. The venture will bring Mecca Bingo together with Fremantle Media Enterprises, the owners of the Britain’s Got Talent property. Seen as a way to capitalize on the show’s popularity for Mecca and an expansion of the brand image for Fremantle, many analysts in the online bingo world feel this could propel Mecca to the next level. The development deal will allow the bingo web site operations company to create a Britain’s Got Talent themed room on their bingo site which will incorporate the show’s theme music, it’s logo and other images which will appeal to the massive fan base that the show currently boasts among UK audiences.

The deal is set to run for three years and will be effective not only for the online bingo web sites, but also for the land based bingo clubs run by Mecca. Leveraging the power of nearly 19 million people who watched the series last year alone, the maneuver is seen as a brilliant one for the bingo company. This audience is also expanded to the global level, bringing in nearly 200 million views for the contestant Susan Boyle who brought the show to such a huge level of prominence on the global scale.

Bingo in the UK

October 22nd, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Guides

One of the well known facts about the United Kingdom is that it is and has been a center for wagering for a very long time. All down through UK history there are plenty of times when wagering has been wildly popular and today this is also the case. There are plenty of ways that the UK has embraced this past time, but bingo has got to be one of the most popular forms of wagering ever in this country. One can be sure that there are people playing at any time of the day or night because there are so many chances to do so these days. Because bingo long ago became a nation wide past time, it is not uncommon to see folks of all ages playing either online or offline in land based venues such as bingo halls that specialize in the game or casinos. There are people winning constantly and these days seeing that there has been a million pound or larger jack pot awarded to a UK citizen is not at all unusual. The tradition of bingo here is rich, but that tradition has reached new heights with the arrival of the online bingo sites. The UK has quickly become a major hub of bingo sites and a huge number of companies do their business here. Due to the friendly economic atmosphere for game operators, these site have been able to turn themselves into world leaders of the bingo industry and regularly pour money into the British economy to the point that bingo in the UK is well past being a billion pound industry and only seems to be growing as the years roll by.

Since this is such a huge industry, there have been major efforts by many companies to cash in on the chances to make a fortune by offering bingo games. As a result there are a huge number of what are called white label gaming sites which are all branded individually and lead to the networks of much bigger sites. These types of solutions give consumers a far greater variety of choices in their places to play bingo on the web and since the sites offer 24 hour a day play, there are many fans out there who are logged in at any given time of day or night. This means that there are always people around to socialize with and that is what seems to be propelling the main base of customers in the online bingo industry these days: girls between the ages of 20 and 25. These ladies make up the vast bulk of bingo players right now and their numbers are expected to grow as services such as AOL, MSN and Virgin get better at marketing their wares to this very savvy group of players. The social factor and total ease of play have shaped the online industry for bingo into a huge market and today there are hundreds of companies competing for the British player, but also for those that are visiting from other countries.

888 Holdings – The online bingo world is expanding at a very rapid pace, but it can still be said that the company which sprang up in 1997, 888 Holdings, has become one of the largest in the industry today. The 888 brand is well known around the globe and the latest big site to make a splash, 888 Ladies, is rapidly becoming a player favorite among the critical group of young female bingo players. This company runs its games under the Cassava label and it is based out of Gibraltar. Its 2007 acquisition of Globalcom Limited has gone a long way towards establishing it as a major player in the online bingo world.

Boss Media – This company began in 1996 out of their home town of Vaxjo, Sweden, and has become a major player in the online world of bingo. They offer a number of different solutions for other gaming sites, called white label gaming sites. They began their first site, Gold Club Casino, and quickly got a huge amount of interest from outside investors and other businesses that wanted to be able to hire them for work and that is the majority of what they do now: design casino software for other companies.

Chartwell Technology – This Canadian company is another big one in the bingo software world. They have branches in both Malta and the UK, focusing their efforts on the design and styling of casino and bingo sites on the web. They are very well known for this ability to design appealing, branded solutions and are often called upon to put together an attractive design for another company’s site.

Gamesys – While many of the top online companies in the bingo world began back in the 90’s, Gamesys only started up in 2001, but they have still managed to carve out a very strong presence online thanks to their ability to construct very well made sites such as JackpotJoy, their primary site. This site alone has given out more than 75 million pounds in prizes over the web and as a result is definitely attracting a lot of attention with its reputation for giving away prizes every few seconds. They offer browser based software solutions instead of requiring software downloads and this has made many players more comfortable.

Microgaming – This company deals in not only web based software solutions, but also downloadable packages that are convenient for their users. They are known for having started what might be the very first online casino site back in 1994 and today they create quite a bit of other casinos for different companies and nearly always include hundreds of different games for those casinos.

Parlay Entertainment – This is a very big name company in the world of online bingo, but it is not necessarily one that players will be familiar with. This is because they actually run the software for other large scale operations such as the bingo games of AOL, Yahoo, MSN and Virgin. They have a good hold on the market because of their extensive experience and heavy reliability.

Playtech – This is the software provider behind the Bingoland Network and they are a big name that first started up in 1999. Now they have a strong brand as developers of white label gaming solutions.

History of Online Bingo

February 20th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Guides

As one of the world’s best documented games of wagering, bingo is still alive in its first form, in the place where it was invented: Italy. There it is a national lottery that is fondly loved by the people of that nation, but bingo expanded far beyond the borders of that European nation and spread across the globe in many forms before the version that we all know and love today was developed in the United States in the year 1929. There, a traveling sales man from New York City discovered it at a rural carnival and saw how much people enjoyed the game. He knew that if he could make it very accessible then more people would want to play so that is exactly what he did by developing the first cards for bingo. These were sold far and wide and before long, many different social charity groups began to use the game as a way to raise money for their many different causes to help people. Along side this development, there is the fact that bingo has a very long history in many parts of the world as being a great way to teach young children a variety of different topics that they need to learn in school. This is why the game was so well known that even before the internet there were millions of people playing it each week and those numbers grew over time as other social games became less prominent in the more technologically advanced places of the world. So, by the time the web rose in the middle of the last decade of the 1900’s, the game of bingo was so well known that it was a natural fit as a game to play over the web.

This is where the first roots of the game sprang from and the early web sites that hit the bingo niche back in 1994 were some of the first to see that people would love a chance to play over the web, especially if they could win some great cash prizes. By the end of the 90’s, there would be hundreds of sites all over the world that had begun to cater to online casino games, but bingo managed to carve itself its own niche and do very well as a game that many people really enjoyed. This would lead to every growing levels of popularity and many people would come to view bingo as a great way to pass the time. Today there are vast networks of special bingo sites that are designed to appeal to people of all sorts of different interest and bingo has become a major world industry that is growing with each passing day. There are few other games on the web which give such large prizes and in the UK it is not uncommon to see prizes that are over one million pounds to a single winner. This has given rise to so many jobs and at a time when the world economy looks a bit shaky, many are grateful for the earnings that bingo can provide for their family.

History of Bingo

February 11th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Guides

One of the nice things about the history of the game we call bingo is that it is much more detailed than the history of many other games of wagering. In fact, its roots can be clearly traced back to Italy in the 1400’s, when it was first called Lo Giuoco del Lotto d’Italia which means the clearing of Italy’s lots, in the native tongue. This one game that has seen a lot of play across history, but it is still played the same way there today. As word of the game spread, it would travel up into France where it would be slightly changed by the French people and also to Germany where it would be used to teach very young children such subjects as math, writing and biology. Over the years, bingo has gone through many different changes, but we can say that the first modern version of bingo the way we know it now came about in the United States at the end of the 1920’s. A traveling sales man from New York City was down south just outside the city of Atlanta when he came across a carnival. Having a look around, he saw one tent that offered a game called beano. This was very similar to the game we know today and it was being played with beans – hence it’s name. When this sales man, Edwin Lowe, saw how people were enjoying the game, he came up with an idea to patent a version of his own that he could sell. When he got back to New York, he set about creating a version and tested it on his friends. During one game, when achieving the win, a player yelled out bingo instead of beano and the name stuck. It is Lowe who history credits as the first person to popularize bingo by offering his cards for others to sell and make a profit from.

This would come to be proven a very smart idea because it allowed him to make money, but it also encouraged the spread of bingo all across the US. It would not be long before the game would become something of a tradition as the movie houses were not nearly as popular once the TV set was invented. This meant that people could certainly have plenty of entertainment, but also that the vast majority of it was not social in nature. When they wanted a social activity, bingo made a great suggestion. After it took off in the US it quickly spread over to the United Kingdom where it also became a very big deal. There have been all kinds of different variations invented so far and in the UK this is a major past time and it would also prove to be a huge place for the birth of online bingo, an industry that is rapidly becoming the premiere way that most people play bingo these days. There are millions of people around the world who now play daily thanks to the web.

75 and 90 Ball Bingo

October 12th, 2008 | Comments Off | Posted in Guides

75 Ball Bingo
In the Western part of the world, including the nations of Canada and the United States, the tradition is to play 75 ball bingo, one of the two most popular forms around the world. While no one is for sure why this is the popular form in these countries, the fact that it is means that this is the type of bingo most of the players native to these nations will be familiar with. This particular style is played using a 5 x 5 grid card with the numbers laid out so that players will mark them off as they are called. It is a little bit faster than an average game of 90 ball bingo and due to this, there has even been a tradition of a more fun side game that is known as Speed Bingo or sometimes, Quickie Bingo. In this sub style of the game, players work as quickly as possible to mark off the numbers as they are called in the hopes of hitting the bingo mark more quickly. The prizes favored most in this style of the game are usually cash, but sometimes physical goods will also be offered. The players must try to complete the pattern the game calls for and if they can do this then they will win. Since charity bingo games are quite popular in these countries, many times the prize will be donated by a sponsoring local business. This can include cash or other goods, but the over all goal of such charity games is to raise money for the group that is hosting them.

90 Ball Bingo
In the rest of the world, 90 ball bingo is the favored form and it is quite popular not only in Europe, but also in South America and Australia. Here, the game can take a bit longer, but it is played in a very similar way to its 75 ball cousin. The cards used are usually in the 9 by 3 format that was heavily popularized in the United Kingdom where bingo is a very popular past time. This means that those who play online bingo will most likely be familiar with this particular style since it is the prevalent form due to the fact that most of the world’s most popular bingo sites originate from the UK where it is huge business. Just as in the 75 ball form, players must work to achieve a specific pattern that is announced ahead of time and once they do this they will be able to call bingo. Since this system of bingo has more balls to work with and a more complicated grid construction of the cards it is considered to be a bit more complex, but this does not mean it is harder to play once the player has a hang of how the game works. These games will often be played in a Full House or Cover All type of game that means over the session there will be several cards played and several games of bingo that keep increasing the card’s coverage until a winner is declared in the latter rounds.
